About Sailing
Billings Lake is small but excellent for casual sailing. There are large stretches with safe and deep water and plenty of places to anchor up.

It is not reccomend to sail very far north past the islands.

Quick Tips
- it is reccomended you have a valid Connecticut Safe Boating Certificate, even for small boats
- Always wear a life jacket or bring a flotation device
- Check the weather before heading out
- Clean, drain, and dry your boat to prevent invasive species
- Watch out for shallows, rocks and wind-traps!
